The sequel picks up where the first film left off, with Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) still on the run from the law. He's recruited by a former colleague, Major Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders), to help clear his name and take down a corrupt military officer, General Diem (Jai Courtney). Along the way, Reacher must confront his troubled past and team up with an old ally, Holly Johnson (Roberta Arnhim).
