The PS3’s infamous (1 PPE + 6 usable SPEs) was a nightmare for most developers but a curious challenge for a turn-based strategy game. Civilization Revolution could not leverage the SPEs for parallel AI processing easily—the game’s AI logic is inherently serial (Player 1 → Player 2 → Barbarians → Player 3).
