Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation (DOAXVV) has finally made its way to PC as a free-to-play title, bringing the tropical spin-off of the famous fighting franchise to a wider audience. Gone are the complex combo strings and martial arts tournaments; in their place are volleyball matches, rock climbing, pool hopping, and an endless summer vacation. But does this slice of digital paradise offer a compelling game, or is it just a vehicle for microtransactions?
Unlike the console-based Xtreme 3 , Venus Vacation is a PC-exclusive live-service game developed by Koei Tecmo. The premise is simple: you are the new owner of a luxurious resort on "Venus Islands." Your job is to manage a rotating roster of the series’ iconic female characters—such as Kasumi, Honoka, Marie Rose, and new exclusive characters like Misaki and Fiona—as they enjoy vacations.
