Before any installation can occur, one must obtain the game files. While physical "Game of the Year" editions exist on eBay, the most reliable method is digital distribution. As of 2024, MOHAA and its expansions are no longer sold on major storefronts like Steam due to licensing expirations. However, the complete collection, including Breakthrough , is still available on (Good Old Games). The GOG version is highly recommended because it comes pre-patched with compatibility fixes for Windows 10 and 11. If you own the original CDs, you can use them, but be prepared for significant manual tweaking.
