The plot is deceptively simple: A dignified, traditional English family gathers to bury the patriarch, Daniel (Matthew Macfadyen). His brother Robert (Rupert Graves) is the successful, glib novelist who arrives late. Their cousin Martha (Daisy Donovan) brings her anxious fiancé Simon (a pre-fame Alan Tudyk), who is accidentally dosed with a powerful hallucinogenic valium.
