Directed by Laurent Cantet and released in 2008, Entre Les Murs is a semi-autobiographical drama based on the novel by François Bégaudeau. Bégaudeau actually stars in the film as a version of himself—a dedicated but often overwhelmed French language and literature teacher in a tough Parisian inner-city school.
