Blade Runner 2049 is a 2017 science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve. It's a sequel to the 1982 classic Blade Runner, directed by Ridley Scott. The movie takes place 30 years after the events of the first film and follows a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (played by Ryan Gosling), who unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos.
