Peninsula is a standalone sequel to the 2016 hit Train to Busan . It takes place four years after the initial zombie outbreak on the Korean peninsula.

Upon returning, they realize that zombies aren't the only threat. They are ambushed by a rogue militia group known as Unit 631 , which forces survivors to participate in brutal gladiatorial games against the undead.

Peninsula follows Jung-seok, a former soldier who escaped the initial outbreak. He is recruited for a high-stakes mission to return to the quarantined Korean peninsula to retrieve a truck containing $20 million.
