Some older Behringer interfaces (like the UCA202) need drivers on old macOS versions, but for the C1 + any standard interface, no extra driver is required on Mac.

You have connected an analog XLR microphone directly to a computer’s 3.5mm mic jack (or haven’t connected an interface). Fix: You cannot plug the C1 directly into a PC’s microphone port.
