The transgender community has also reshaped LGBTQ+ culture from the inside out. It has challenged the community’s own assumptions. For example, what does "gay" or "lesbian" mean in a world where a trans woman loves a cisgender (non-trans) woman? Is that a straight relationship? Or a lesbian one?
