During disassembly, it is easy to forget the order of washers and springs. The parts diagram acts as a reverse-instruction manual. By looking at the "exploded" lines, you can see which parts sit inside others. For instance, the diagram will clearly show if a seal sits behind a bearing or in front of it—a detail that, if incorrect, can destroy the tool upon restart.
