The movie follows the story of a young priest named Khoma Brut (played by Yan Ugarov), who is tasked with performing a funeral ritual for a mysterious and beautiful witch named Maria (played by Milena Radulov). However, the ritual is interrupted by the witch's vengeful spirit, which unleashes a demonic entity known as Viy. Khoma must survive the night and outsmart Viy to save his own life.
